Mattias Kärrholm

Mattias Kärrholm, PhD 2004, post-doctoral research fellow at the Dep. of Architecture & Built Environment, LTH, Lund University. My research deals with theoretical and conceptual aspects of territoriality, space and place, and has primarily focused on this as related to aspects of material/architectural/urban design in public places. I am right now working with a project that deals with landscapes of consumption, analysing aspects of urban design and territorial control in urban retail areas in Malmö/Lund. The project also discusses questions regarding retail spaces and the transformations of public space within an urban and regional context.
